5 effective webinar blogs to boost engagement

A little less than a year ago, I set forth a goal of pushing out at least one webinar blog a week.

The goal was to help improve your webinar program with the few tips and tricks that I’ve learned over the past decade at The Streaming Network.

This week, I want to do something a little bit different. A bit of reflection, if you will.

I have noticed that our blog readers are constantly looking for new ways to improve their existing webinar program. They are also seeking ways to elevate their current marketing strategies without reinventing the wheel.

As such, the following lists contain the most popular blogs to be read by The Streaming Network this past year and I wanted to share them with you.

1. 2019 Webinar Best Practices You Should Know

New to The Streaming Network? Then you should check out our podcast, Lessons From The Frontline. My co-host, Peter Vamos, and I discuss webinar strategies that work and some that don’t. In this particular episode, we ended 2019 with a year-end retrospective on what webinar strategies worked for some industries. We also looked at how webinar marketers like yourself should prepare for this year.
If you are a regular subscriber to our podcast, I want to know how our tips have helped your webinar program thus far.

2. 5 Creative Ways to Elevate Your Webinar Format

I want you to think about the webinar format you are using.

  • Is it a slide deck while on a conference call for specialized training?
  • Are you offering product demos for your prospective clients?
  • Have you been training your employees with a video of your PowerPoint and a voiceover?

These examples are the most common types of enterprise webinars for training and sales purposes. However, exploring various webinar styles can give you a new and more engaged audience.

Read this blog to start elevating your webinar format with 5 new styles.

3. What Does Repurposing Content Mean?

Spoiler alert. Our podcast episodes have been a favourite for our blog readers this past year. In this episode, Peter and I talk about what repurposing content means and how The Streaming Network has leveraged this tactic to increase our overall brand engagement. Your webinar doesn’t just stop at being a webinar.

4. Is Your Webinar Landing Page Converting Leads Into Registrants?

Experiencing a low webinar turnout?

Start from the beginning of your promotional cycle. What does your registration rate look like? A low registration rate is going to net you an even lower webinar attendance rate. That’s right – not everyone who registers to your event will actually show up.

Ask yourself, do you really need to know everything about a prospective viewer from the get-go? This includes their company size, revenue, job title, etc. While this information is important, it’s also a barrier to entry on your registration page because of all the information your prospect needs to fill out.

Unless you are from HubSpot or MarketingProfs, choose only a few contact fields for your registration page and gain more insights as your viewers engage with your webinar.

5. How To Make A Webinar More Authentic?

I told you our podcast was popular. In our first podcast episode of 2019, Peter and I go over how to make authentic webinar content with something that (nearly) everyone owns.

Your smartphone.

And there you have it. Our 5 most popular blogs on how to improve your webinar program as chosen by you, our reader. Want to learn how to improve your webinar program? Reach out to our team with any questions and we will come assist you as soon as possible.
